Coming off a gutsy win in his last outing, Stuart Deleurme will make his anticipated debut with Battlefield as a welterweight at BFL 4.
Deleurme (2-1) won’t get an easy assignment as a Welterweight, however, when he meets Ben Cote on Friday, October 22nd at the Edgewater Casino in Vancouver B.C. The bout, agreed to in principle, will be the co-mainevent underneath the main attraction of the evening featuring a clash between Welterweight title contenders Matt Dwyer and Yusuf Njie.
Deleurme has medaled in 8 straight grappling Competitions including a silver medal in grapplers quest in Vegas earlier this year. Despite suffering a loss in his MMA debut, Deleurme has put together back to back wins including an impressive 3 round decision victory of Yusuf Njie. The Kelowna Native could quickly become a serious threat in the Welterweight ranks with his ample skills on the ground.
Meanwhile, Cote is making his MMA debut, fighting out of the well-respected Carlson Gracie camp. Cote, who has been training in Jiu-jitsu for over 10 years, holds a purple belt under Marcus Soares. Cote also holds black belts in various forms of martial arts which along with his mat experience should give him a well balanced attack.
