Once again, Battlefield Fight League proves that it is British Columbia’s premiere MMA promotion with a new acquisition that is sending shockwaves throughout the province.  In our continuing quest to give you the absolute best that BC has to offer, we proudly announce the  signing of top-flight bantamweight Dan “The Samurai” Lin to an exclusive contract with Battlefield Fight League!

A product of Chris Franco’s FKP MMA dojo, the ornately-tattooed Lin is widely renowned for his seamless blend of aggressive striking and lethal catch wrestling skills.  With the sole blemish on his five-fight record coming from a controversial stoppage that had none other than UFC champion Bas Rutten calling for an immediate rematch, Lin has cleaned out the bantamweight ranks in EFC, XFC and Armageddon Fighting Championships, and now sets his sights on the best of the best.

And the best is exactly who will welcome him to the Battlefield cage, as Lin will make his BFL debut against none other than the wildly popular Indo-Canadian superstar Gurdarshan “St. Lion” Mangat!

Fighting out of Mamba MMA under Shooto, K-1, Dream and bodogFIGHT veteran Kultar “The Black Mamba” Gill, Mangat represents BFL’s cream of the crop at 135.  After going undefeated on his way to winning the BFL amateur title, Mangat became one of only three amateur fighters to be elevated to the Battlefield Fight League professional ranks.  His momentum continued in his pro debut when he dispatched the dangerous Mark Delgado in the first round, firmly establishing himself as the man to beat in the bantamweight division.

Battlefield fight League 13 will be headlined by Matt Baker in a title fight for the Vacant Battlefield Fight League Pro Middleweight Title.  Impact MMA’s Graham Spencer will Co-headline BFL 13 in a Featherweight title fight.  The maincard card will also include a much anticipated Welterweight bout between Kelowna’s Matt Dwyer and Ash Mashreghi.  Axe Capoeira’s international super star Marcus Aurelio will also make his return to the cage at BFL13.
