Most Anticipated Match-Ups at BFL3

Top 3 Most Anticipated Match-Ups at BFL3 October 15, 2010

BFL 3: Battlefield at the River Rock is approaching quickly with only 24 days of waiting time left until some of the most interesting and stylistically sound match ups take place live from the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, British Columbia. Besides the Welterweight title fight, In my opinion, these are the top 3 not to be missed fights of BFL 3…

1) Cam Deleurme vs. Jeremy Kennedy-Deleurme is making his Battlefield debut with
An impressive record of 4 wins and 1 loss, he is a very good grappler with a lot of experience for a 20 year old, look for him to quickly become a contender if he can get by Kennedy. Kennedy (2-0), has a very similar style as Deleurme which makes for such an interesting fight. Kennedy is only 18 years old, has easily finished both his past opponents and is believed by many to be the future of the 45 pound division. Both are very fast and slick on that mat and both can become champions-This is an early test for both and winner could be in line for a title shot against Mangat in January.

2) Ash Mashreghi vs Ken Macleod –Mashreghi is making his official mma debut at BFL 3. Mashreghi has the potential to turn the Battlefield Welterweight division not only upside down but in shambles. Mashreghi has powerful striking along with past mat experience under Hickson Gracie blackbelt Shane Rice. Mashreghi could become a contender and finish guys in style like we have never seen before. Standing in Mashreghi’s way is a very dangerous striker from Toronto who is looking for big wins to propel him in the top of the Battlefield Welterweight division. Ken “Ghost” Macleod has many years of combat experience and is well versed in Thai Boxing, Boxing and Grappling. Macleod is looking to make a statement out of well respected Mashreghi by standing and beating him at his own game.

3) Chris Day vs. Tristan Storrs-Storrs (5-1) comes to BFL3 from Idaho, and has been winning big fights right left and center including his latest and most vicious victory over Tony Sanchez at the Xcite Fight promotion in Spokan. Storrs who is a very accomplished wrestler is also coming of a gold medal win in Spokane Invitational No-Gi Grappling Tournament on May 8th. Storrs always wants the big fights and seems to always find a way to come out on top. Standing in his way is a very experienced, well rounded Chris Day. Although Storrs will definitely hold a wrestling edge in this fight, Day is the better striker. The grappling should be pretty even as both guys have looked pretty impressive on the mat in their prior bouts. Day who has stated he believes he won his last split-decision fight at BFL 2, is looking to stop Storrs dead in his tracks and earn his rematch against Gary Mangat in January for the Feather Weight Title.
