The Ultimate Fighter season 3 and UFC veteran, Kalib Starnes will be making his Debut for Battlefield on August 21st when he faces Nick Hinchliffe, Of Nanaimo BC, in A Grappling exhibition match under Abu Dhabi rules.
Starnes (11-5-1) who has 8 submission victories to his credit is looking to showcase his submission skills for the very first time in front of the lower mainland fans.
Hinchliffe has headlined a handful of local shows in the past year, had mixed success against Starnes earlier this year, demonstrating impressive skills on the mat with an impressive sweep to half-guard. Starnes however was able to reclaim guard and was able to submit Hinchliffe later in the fight with an armbar.
The grappling exhibition between Starnes and Hinchliffe will be added to an already stacked lineup for Battlefield 2 at the River Rock Casino in Richmond B.C.
